I unfortunately had to cancel a policy I had with Bedford Insurance. I fully expected to have to pay the 25% cancellation charge but to my surprise they didn't charge me because they said
they weren't able to quote me for the car I had just bought.
So miracles DO happen and because of this I would not hesitate to
recommend them.

I use Bedford Insurance for car insurance policies for both of my cars. I think they are excellent to deal with. They provide good, cheap policies for those who provide them with the correct details promptly! I would recommend using them 100%. If you have ever experienced problems whilst using them, trying blaming yourself and not Bedford Insurance!!!

Had I not got an ongoing claim from MArch I would be out of there. Paid fully
comp for 6 years, when someone wrote off my car I was told I was on my
own and to claim through my own policy as he didnt have insurance. Claimed
through my policy with Provident who are fantastic to find he had fleet
insurance. Got hit again and Provi sorted quickly but whilst waiting for cat C
registration Bedford said my insurance was being cancelled by Provi which is a
complete lie, am having to sort this out myself too. Complaint not been acted
upon. Beware OK whist taking your money, crap if you claim.

I have 2 no fault claims both messed up by Bedford, good job I have
Providents number to sort out myself as they are totally useless and
unhelpful, 6 years fully comp no claims and they tell me I am on my own and cant help. What an absolute joke, hope ombudsmen can sort out.

I'm a customer of Bedford Insurance for both my motor insurance, home insurance and several properties I rent out. I have always found them to be above board, professional and honest. They offer excellent premiums and what can only be described as a first class claims service. I was unfortunate enough to be the victim of a flood claim last year and found their claims service outstanding. Their staff were sympathetic and helped me through the
whole process from start to finish.

I just called to add my boyfriend to the insurance but because of a motoring conviction they wont insure him. Its important for him to be on as we are traveling a long distance at the weekend, my only option is to cancel but they have told me I will have to pay the remaining six months straight up...????I've never come across this, usually the just charge a small percentage.

Avoid this company. Having refused to make an amendment to
the policy they sent me, they then refused to refund all the money they had debited, even although they made the mistake in the
policy in the first place. I had to write them numerous letters before they eventually replied to my complaint, after three months.

I canceled my insurance too because the customer service was apaling. Also got charged 37% of the annual insurance.
-3 stars is my actual rating But I thought, if this is when I am trying to agree on things, just imagine if i actually need to make a claim!

Haven't had to cancel my policy to date so not sure what may happen but up to present date everything is going fine. I was offered discount for being insured as a named driver discount so price was a lot cheaper than anywhere else... cancellation charge does say 25% I just hope I don't have to cancel.
After the first 12 months insurance i'll have 5 years No claims bonus... Very good policy at a good price.

AVOID this company, 7 months it took them to tell me my insurance was not
worth the paper its written on following a claim, they never sent me any
letters to keep me informed but they say they have, ive had to phone them
time ands time again to finally find this out. They lie through their back teeth
saying i didnt give them all the details for insurance when i know i did.
They take YOUR MONEY and dont insure you, i dont believe there really an
insurance company its a robbing scam. all these comments on here prove
they are a scamming rob dog. AVOID AVOID!

Avoid this company at all costs.. I called for a renewal quote yesterday only to
find that they had cancelled my policy back in January!! I asked why I was
never informed, they advised that they had sent 4 letters but it turned out
that it was to the the wrong address, even though they had the correct one
and had previously communicated to me using it!! Complete Imbeciles...

Never ever deal with this company or you will regret it. My wife got insured
with them and when we had to cancel the insurance within first 5 days they
ate her £70 deposit and when we tried to get them back they said that
money gone for insuring the car for those 5 days + 25% cancelation fee.
What else they had done: when we got the certificate there were provisions
for cancellation for the first 14 days. (stupidly enough I did not make
photocopies) We had to send the certificate back to them (their terms &
cond.) Then they send us cancellation letter with no such provision
