Been with DBI for 20 years, yes I know will shop around
next time. My dog is just 10 years old, had no claims and been paying DBI all that time. Just received a letter date 3 weeks ago
telling me her premium has increased by 67%!
Surely there must be some regulation to this. She hasn't claimed and yet they do this, and just a week before the premium will be
taken.
I'll shop around but whether I can insure a fit and healthy 10
year old dog elsewhere remains to be seen. DBI know this and are taking advantage. Cant speak to them as they are always
'busy'!
Take my advice and go elsewhere!

I agree with those above, a total waste of money. Once you have an
exclusion try and move insurance company. Go before it's too late!

This Company does not offer FULL cover for all conditions for animals. Once
your pet has had a problem, they will not pay out again. They used to be the
best insurance company there was, until the take-over. If you have a
pedigree dog, you will be likely to have recurring problems particular to the
breed, DBI will be no use in these circumstances, and if your problems start
when the animal is older than 8 years, you will have no option to change
insurance Co.
eg:: We had a cruciate go in our dogs right leg - they paid, a year later the
cruciate in the left leg went - they wouldn't pay.
