Mastercard float aims for $2.8bn

Mastercard, one of the world's largest credit card companies, is hoping to raise up to $2.8bn (£1.5bn; 2.2bn euros) by selling 46% of its shares. The listing on the New York Stock Exchange values the firm's shares at between $40 and $43 each. The firm, which at present is owned by 1,400 banks, is offering 61.5 million shares to the public.
