Virgin Credit Card: 0% balance transfer for 3 months

Thu 21st Dec 2006 Virgin Money has announced that it is to increase the zero per cent per annum (pa) balance transfer on its new credit card to 13 months. Morgan Stanley to sell Discover

US investment bank Morgan Stanley says it will offload its credit card unit, Discover, after it posted better results than analysts had expected. "The spin-off will unlock considerable value for the shareholders," said John Mack, the firm's chief executive. The bank has faced pressure to sell Discover, but cancelled previous plans to sell the business a year ago, saying it was a strong source of income.
