LONDON (Reuters) - Housebuilder McCarthy & Stone (MCTY.L: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Monday it had reached agreement on a 1 billion pound takeover from a consortium led by private equity group Permira and Barclays Capital (BARC.L: Quote, Profile, Research) . Under the Barclays-led proposal each shareholder would receive 1,000 pence in cash for each share.
