LONDON (Dow Jones) - The dollar firmed against rivals on Monday, on heavy demand for the greenback at the start of the fourth quarter and following a disappointing reading of Japan's key Tankan survey. SAN FRANCISCO (Dow Jones) -- Asian markets generally moved down Monday, as a lower-than-expected tankan business sentiment survey weighed on Japan's bellwether Nikkei 225 index.
