(CNN) -- Three prisoners at the detention facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, hanged themselves, the U.S. military said Saturday. They are the first confirmed suicides at the compound. Prisoners have attempted suicide in the past. Three detainees at the US base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, have died in what appears to have been a joint suicide pact, officials said. The inmates - two Saudis and a Yemeni - hanged themselves in their cells, according to the camp's commander. Questions are being asked about how the police and intelligence services handled an anti-terror raid in east London after the release of two men.
