LONDON (Reuters) - House prices rose at their fastest annual pace in nearly a year in April, pushed up by property price rises in the capital, the government said on Monday. The 5.1 percent rise in the year to April reported by the Department for Communities and Local Government, formerly the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, was up sharply from 3.3 percent in the prior month and the highest since May 2005.
